Fuel by a Vitcas Outdoor Oven: Storage and Working Access

Vitcas wood-fired outdoor oven for a suitable exterior location

At the outdoor oven, you need convenient access to fuel, but storage should not interfere with heating and service. Plan a separate storage and a small amount prepared for specific use. Start with the oven instructions and the layout of hot parts.

Mark the boundaries of the station

Vitcas outdoor oven is a wood-fired device, the installation and operation of which have specific requirements. On the sketch, show the entrance, the flue pipe, and the way of adding fuel. Indicate the place for removing hot parts and setting down tools.

Distances from fuel and other combustible materials should be determined according to the requirements of the specific installation. Do not assume a single measurement for all devices. An open recess under the chamber is not automatically a confirmed storage space for wood.

A cover does not replace the proper location

HT Fireboard has described protective applications, but the board itself does not allow moving stored fuel into the firebox area without checking the arrangement. The entire cross-section and the temperature in the storage location must be assessed. Also, remember the hot flue pipe, which may run outside the outline of the chamber.

The storage area should allow the fuel to be maintained in the condition required by the oven manufacturer. Check the water entering from the ground and the neighboring surface. Material left in a random recess may become damp despite protection from above.

Practice handling without fire

With cold equipment, check whether you can reach the fuel without crossing movements with removing dishes. Do not place the stock on the passageway or near the place for setting down the hot peel. Maintain access for cleaning and monitoring the surroundings.

After finishing work, remove unnecessary items according to the oven operating rules, taking into account residual heat. Keep a sketch of the workstation. Changing the worktop or shelter may affect storage conditions, even if the device chamber remains in the same place.
